192 solar panels have been installed on the roofs of four new houses in Namangan, which allow for autonomous power supply of household appliances. This UNDP project worth 1.32 billion soums will also cover Karakalpakstan, Kashkadarya, Tashkent, and Bukhara regions.
In Namangan, solar panels with a total capacity of 58 kilowatts have been installed on the roofs of four houses, where 96 apartments are located, the press service of the Ministry of Energy reported.
The project was implemented by Sun-Hightech with the assistance of the UNDP / GEF (Global Environment Facility) project jointly with the Ministry of Construction of Uzbekistan "Assistance in the development of construction of energy-efficient housing in rural areas."
In total, 192 solar panels were installed on new four-story houses in the Uychi district. They allow you to provide power to household appliances independent of the central power supply, including lighting fixtures, televisions, refrigerators, and computers.
To ensure uninterrupted maintenance of these solar panels, the company has hired a young professional who lives in one of these houses.
Within the framework of this UNDP grant project worth 1.32 billion soums, five regions of Uzbekistan will be covered. In addition to Namangan, solar panels will be installed in Karakalpakstan, Tashkent, Bukhara, and Kashkadarya regions.
