The building of the Cabinet of Ministers is now fully provided with electricity during the daytime due to solar panels.
A solar photovoltaic station with a capacity of 630 kW was launched on the territory of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan in Tashkent. It is capable of generating more than 1.1 million kWh of electricity per year, the press service of the Ministry of Energy reported.
The station fully provides the building of the Cabinet of Ministers with electricity during the daytime. Surplus electricity can be sent to the electrical network, the report said.
The station was built as part of the implementation of the tasks set by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in the field of expanding the use of renewable energy sources.
“We ask all ministries and departments to join the implementation of this initiative,” the Ministry of Energy urged.
